JANUARY 8 & 9, 2026
On January 8 and 9, 2026, millions of Iranians took to the streets in the largest uprising in the country’s modern history — the Lion and Sun Revolution. Carrying the imperial flag and chanting for freedom and regime change, they demanded an end to 46 years of Islamic Republic rule.
The regime’s response was massacre. Thousands were killed in just 48 hours. Over 53,000 people were arrested. Hundreds of thousands were injured — many permanently blinded by birdshot fired directly at protesters’ faces. The internet was shut down to hide the evidence from the world.
