WHY WE EXIST
A registered movement. A protected symbol.
A promise to every Iranian who stood up — and paid the price.
JANUARY 8 & 9, 2026.
IRAN ROSE.
It began on December 28, 2025, when shopkeepers in Tehran’s Grand Bazaar shuttered their shops in protest against the collapse of Iran’s currency and decades of economic mismanagement. Within days, what started as economic anger had transformed into the most sweeping call for regime change in the Islamic Republic’s 46-year history.
By January 8, 1.5 million people had taken to the streets of Tehran alone. By January 9, that number had swelled to over 5 million across the country — carrying the Lion and Sun flag, the symbol of a free Iran, and chanting for the fall of the regime and the return of Crown Prince Reza Pahlavi.
The Islamic Republic’s response was immediate and savage. Security forces opened fire on unarmed crowds. In the first 48 hours — on January 8 and 9 — the regime massacred thousands of people. Amnesty International described it as the deadliest period of repression in decades of their research in Iran.
THE PRICE THEY PAID
FOR STANDING UP
The human cost of January 8 and 9 is staggering. Over 46,000 people were killed. More than 330,000 were injured — countless permanently blinded by birdshot deliberately fired at protesters’ faces. Over 53,000 were arrested. Daily executions continue.
The regime cut off internet access and shut down telephone services to hide the massacre from the world. They tried to erase the images, silence the survivors, and bury the truth — exactly as they have done after every crackdown since 1979.
Part of the income from every Minute 8 & 9 purchase goes directly to medical care for the injured — the blinded, the wounded, the survivors who paid the price for demanding freedom.
WHY MINUTE 8 & 9?
The minutes 8 and 9 mark the dates of the defining massacre — January 8 and 9, 2026. These are the two days the world must never forget. These are the two minutes, in every World Cup match, when we will make sure they don’t.
At minute 8 and minute 9 of every World Cup 2026 match, we ask every freedom-loving person in every stadium to rise. To hold up the shirt. To make 80,000 people — and the billions watching at home — ask: what does this mean?
That question is the movement. The answer is Iran’s freedom.

FROM THE STREETS
TO THE STADIUMS
EVERY PURCHASE HELPS
THE WOUNDED
A portion of every Minute 8 & 9 sale goes directly toward medical care for those injured in the Lion and Sun Revolution — with a particular focus on those who were permanently blinded or disabled by regime forces. When you buy a shirt, you are not just wearing a symbol. You are funding recovery.
