According to an unverified report received from an Iranian journalist claiming access to sources inside the camp, the discovery of a Lion and Sun flag in one of the Iranian national football team players’ rooms has reportedly created significant tension within the squad ahead of their World Cup 2026 matches in Tijuana.
The report claims that player Rouzbeh Cheshmi has been dropped from the 18-man squad selection under unclear circumstances.
